As part of my recent focus on self-care, I have been burning up the 'ol library card. Last year I read close to nada books, and getting back into reading has been Ah-mazing. It's crazy how relaxing it can be and how much I enjoy it. As a kid, I read a ridiculous amount, I always had a book on the go and I would read ANYTHING. As I got older, I became much more particular about what I was reading, but once I had chosen something, I would stick with it until the bitter end...no matter how bad I thought it was.
*Note: I can vividly remember getting super riled up about how bad a particular book was, and Ryan suggesting I just not finish it, and me being all "Waaaainn! If only that was an option"!
Now, the time I have to read is very precious and I'm not wasting it on any sub-par material #sorrynotsorry
I'm not really into book reviews...I guess I like to be surprised? I dunno. (I rarely even read book jackets...weird, right?)Lately I've been pinning reading lists (check out my pin board here)and then picking a few titles to place on hold at the Library, and for the most part, they’ve been good picks.
With that in mind I thought I would share with you guys what I've been reading lately. Maybe with a few comments, but not really reviews...Anyhoot, here we go.

The Marriage Pact: A Novel by Michelle Richmond
This one is a bit of a far fetch, but I really liked the writing style so I stuck with it. Also, hilariously, Ryan and I felt like there was some good marriage advice in here, lol. If you've read it don't judge us ;)
SELF-IMPROVEMENT
After reading this I had a panic attack while running a staff meeting, and then said "Oh my God, just like Dan Harris". No one knew what I was talking about but I think I'ma start meditating.
What have you been reading lately? Any suggestions?
